Referral and diagnostic Process Function
Adama Public Health Research and Referral Laboratory Center: has provided Support and Diagnostic services to the community within Catchment Health Facilities in 9 Zones and 15 Towns though specimen referral in collaboration with Ethiopia Postal Service Enterprise (EPSE); among the testing service provided: Molecular Laboratory for ART monitoring; by HIV Viral Load testing, Early Infant Diagnosis (HIV DNA-PCR), COVID-19 – SARS Cov2 testing, Human Papiloma Virus testing (HPV), MTB/RIF-TB-GeneXpert testing : Tuberculosis Culture for Multidrug resistance (MDR-TB)-LJ culture and MGIT culture,: Clinical Bacteriology Culture testing and AST on eight clinical specimen: (CSF, Urine, Stool, Blood, Genital swab, Eye swab, Ear Swab and Wound): Immunohematology testing; CD4 count, CBC, Blood Chemistry and Immuno Assay testing( hormonal , Electrolyte and Tumer markers ). APHRRLC is also providing Public health laboratory services such as food and bacteriological water analysis for government & private sectors.
APHRRLC, Accreditation by ENAO-MRA-ILAC- on ISO15189:2012 has been maintained on most medical diagnostic scopes for the last five years since 2017 up to now.
